After last year's show at the Morean Art Center of my Advondale series of color-field paintings, this year's exploration is into how might a landscape be simplified into separate color planes. The Scapes series attempts to do just that, though not numbered in order created (long story),  the first of the series  is Scapes 10 and Scapes 11. These are a free flow break attempt to divert from the literal landscape of my earlier work. The remaining paintings in the series go further.

Triptych Scapes 5, is a 36X72' oil on canvas, is the third construction for this series.
